According to the doctors: one of the two nodes was positive for cancer. This means I’ll have another surgery on the 19th to remove all the nodes from my upper right thigh.
After hearing all he had to say, Dr. Davidson looked at me and said, “There’s no doubt about it-after today, you’re life will never be the same. You’re a cancer patient now.” He didn’t say it to be negative or be melodramatic. He said it because its true. Everything about life has changed…well most things, anyway.
Sitting in the doctors office, I looked around at the different people in the room. To our right, a young couple who were obviously in love, planning their wedding and writing out their guest list. In front of us, an older gentleman, probably in his sixties, moving around with a walker and accompanied by three ladies about his same age. The teenage male-youngest patient there-who came in alone but was soon joined by his father. We’re all there-totally different ages, stories, seasons of life-yet somehow we’re all so similar because we’re being chased by this devilish, evil, unexplainable demon named cancer.
This demon, however, will not win. LOVE as already come and declared victory. Now, it’s my turn. I was listening to a pastor today talking about healing and he said something that just resounded in my spirit. He said, “Most Christians know God can heal them…they just don’t believe he actually will.”
This is key. Never before have I been so desperate and determined to ground myself in Truth. Not only do I have to know that Papa CAN heal me-I have to know He desires to. That he loved me so much before I was even conceived that he took all my sicknesses away. It’s tough, this kind of faith. But I will chase it…relentlessly.
So, I will end today’s entry by claiming what I know to be Truth, according to my precious Jesus.
I am so incredibly loved and adored that my Perfect Creator, Jehovah Raffa, healed my diseases, took away my pain and set me free long before I entered this Earth. His job was to heal me. My job is to believe it. My CT on Wednesday will reveal my perfectly clear body and the surgery will reveal nodes of a perfectly healthy 26-year-old. A 26-year-old named Mallory who just so happens to be completely, 100%, cancer free!
